Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

I believe they should review it before it hits the shelf's and then add a review for the online co op after its out, then they can combine both together for an overall updated review. That way everybody is happy.

I don't care too much for review scores but I do like to read the reviews for the feel of the game.

While where on the subject feel free to share with us what review scores you think Fable II will receive. And don't go scoring it a 100/100 because no game is perfect, really have a deep think about it.

I think Fable II will be around 9.6

They should do a review of the single player experience and then the multiplayer aspect separately.

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

^I agree, the game experience as usually warned about will change when online.

The single player's game will offer a completly different gaming experience in comparison to the huge multiplayer mayhem lol and as such both should be reviewed individually ^_^

Does it really matter? Will anyone here not buy it because of a bad review? I'll still get it.

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

^Touche' ^_^

But I do feel a seperate review would benefit people whom are new or those who haven't heard much info regarding the series :D

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

^has anyone not heard about Fable 2???? lolz

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

Well, it'd be great advertising for two seperate articles, but could the magazines truly afford to give Fable II the extra attention above other games just because the game doesn't ship with all of its features on the disc? What if they made two seperate articles about Guitar Hero's debut and their downloadable content?

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

It would be a 9.9 to me. I will be so lost in Fable 2, nothing else will get through, on the 24th.

I love reviews.
They normally get me pumped. =-).
I don't see how Fable could get a bad review. I just dont.

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

Reviews...Ahhh I just came...hehehehe Fable 2 reviews...it won't get a bad review. IT WILL NOT, FOR I SHALL WRITE THEM ALL!

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

I feel it could get a bad review of IGN or GT.

I'm slightly afraid that these guys will rush straight through the game so they can get a review out quick.

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

If the LCE is a factor in the rating, I will personally beat the reviewers.

Re: Peter Molyneux's request / Should we review Fable II before online co-op?

You know, I thought I had heard somewhere via Lionhead that they were able to push the patch out on day one. Obviously this completely kills that thought of mine; did anyone else read/hear this somewhere?

There are reviewers out there that are snobs and others that hold grudges (won't name names, cough) but they're always looking to stir things up to get more hits or because they felt slighted from a developer in the past. Others really don't think games such as this should be made for the casual gamer and that this "demographic mixing" is getting away from the demo that matters.

NUTS! I say to that. This market is moving in such a direction that has become much more homogenized than it was even two years ago. Aside from the fact that it's a shrewd business move to reach the maximum number of consumers possible, it's also a bridging between two demos that don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive to produce games that have a great amount of depth.

But I digress. I think it would be prudent to review both and then draw some conclusions from that. I'm sure Fable II will take hits from some reviewers because it was technically unfinished on release day but they can have bolt of lightning with some slow time berzerking to the face for all I care.
