Play quests again after completion

Don't believe this is posted before so here goes:

There's a way to play quests again after you've completed them.

Below is the how-to with the Arena quest as an example.

1. Make a backup of FinalAlbion.qst (found in Fable the lost chapters/data/Levels/

2. Open the file in notepad

3. Find this line: AddQuest("Q_Arena", FALSE);

4. Overwrite FALSE with TRUE

5. Save the changes

6. Go to the Arena and talk to the guard on the left.

You can now play as many times as you like :ninja:

Be carefull with some quests cause some will cause conflicts and can crash your game.
If you activate 2 quests in the same area for instance, this will likely cause problems (although I haven't tried this, so maybe it doesn't...)

If this happens you can restore your backup.

Enjoy.

well, to give rep, you can't just say "rep+", you just have to go to the little box that looks like this

and click it ^_^

Anyhow, back on topic: Schweet! However, doesn't this mess up your ability to advance in the game? I mean, Gold Quests like the Trader escort through Darkwood and the Arena needs to be done to advance. Or will the game register it as done, but you can still do it again?

Anyhow, back on topic: Schweet! However, doesn't this mess up your ability to advance in the game? I mean, Gold Quests like the Trader escort through Darkwood and the Arena needs to be done to advance. Or will the game register it as done, but you can still do it again?

I think he meant understand how to do the Modding... (As modding is quite a bit more challenging than giving Rep)

Anyway, I recommend getting the Master Greatsword from the Guild before you start Just go into Bowerstone South beforehand and buy all the Chocolates, and reselling them at a higher price. You will get quite a bit of money here, and even if it takes you ages that's what I do...

well, we assumed he in fact was referring to rep, as until we informed him of how to do so he had said "rep+" but not actually given any rep to OldBoy...

well at least they answered the question first instead of waiting to find out what he meant. I mean after all that's how you said a mod/Admins should act. Which is an example of how everyone should act.

... I'm not sure I understand what you mean... what does that have to do with getting to play quests over again after completing the game?

As far as I know it doesn't mess up the ability to advance. But as I stated above, if you have two quests active in the same region it could.

I did this mod, but could only repeat the Arena once. Is there something extra I can add to redo it over and over?

Hey guys, i hate to bump a semi old thread, but you guys seem like the only people who could help me.

i tried editing the arena quest, but now for sum reason i cant finish some other quests. the cutscenes seem to not want to start or something.
this has happened twice so far

1) When the minions are in maze's quarters and they re-kidnap you mom,
and you’re supposed to pick up the book.
Thing is, once i pick up the book, the "quest completed cutscene wont start.


2) when u fight whisper in the arena,
when she gets to about half health,
the cutscene wont start, and no matter how much i hit her,
she wont lose anymore health,
so basically I’m stuck fighting whisper.

you could've told us that you did this. The very fact that you made the arena-quest re-doable caused you to not be able to finish the quest with the book. Also, the part about whisper not dying is normal, I don't know any way to fix this.

yea, but i did a complete clean reinstallof all files, and it still wouldnt work. would spawning the book directly into my invortory/spawning it in a chest work?
