Please Let People Know There Are In-Post Spoilers!!!

Quick shout out to everyone posting. Over the next two weeks we're going to start seeing a lot of in-game content (from reviewers) being posted all over the place. Several threads in here have led to great information but with HUGE spoilers. :O

Posters need to be aware that many may not want to see this information and need to make it very clear that there's spoiler content.

your posting this in fable 2... there for, i will say that there are no fable 2 spoilers... not one single spoiler... why? because there is an amount to how much PM will say... if he doesnt say it, no one mentions it, if noone mentions it, we dont know it... and since it is peter that says all these things, there are not spoilers... because if they WERE spoilers, he wouldnt have said it in the first place

Yes I am posting this in fable 2... I will reiterate what I've said in the post above... Some people may not want to know about certain things regardless of what PM has said. Any information that reveals in-game content related to Fable 2 is a spoiler... to what degree anyone cares to expose themselves to this information should be up to them.

All I am saying is people should have that choice to proceed with reading information that will give details about the story etc. They may not want to know what happens before they play it because it would undermine any sort of dramatic tension created from following the story. You may not feel so much a part of the story as much as observing it. This element is worth more to me than anything and I'd like to keep it that way and let others who want it to have it too.

Knowing about the combat system, being married and other non-story specific details may not matter so much. The point of the matter is people should have the choice.

You're entitled to your opinion and so is everyone else. But, some might be of the opinion that they'd appreciate the heads up before they walked right into a story spoiler.

Dude of course there is spoilers.. In my opinion what if i didnt want to see the trailer of it unti li bought the game? that could be a spoil for me.. so yeah there are spoilers.

^ Thats what i was going to say but then i realised it'd just start a stupid argumenent about how you need to do spoilers or they might see blah blah or reframe yourself from looking then and blah blah!

Hey now, I see where Ears is coming from. A little tip: Don't ever go to the official Xbox forums if you don't want spoilers. People are morons over there and love nothing else than, let's say, make threads with spoilers in their titles so you have no choice but to catch it.

+rep PhilistineEars. If you hadn't posted it first, I would have. There's nothing quite as annoying as having your Fable 2 experience ruined because someone forgot to enclose important story information in spoiler tags!

I agree, I think I sort of ****ed on my Fable 2 experience so far. Not all the way, but a drop here and a drop there, next thing you know you've got a spoiled pair of pants! (+rep ScareCrowReturn for good jokes!)

No one has said anything about hand-holding or blanket censorship. I am simply stating that if people have something that might be revealing just to have the forethought to put (Spoilers) in the heading of the thread. Or if the thread isn't about a particular spoiler, but you have something to add that is, then make use of the spoiler drop-down button that was so wonderfully created.

Again, it's about letting people make the choice; it's not about protecting them and "holding their hand".

Considering some of the spam I had to delete earlier today, my eyes are anything but virginal *shudder*

Anywho, I'm of the same opinion PhilistineEars - I've purposefully avoided a lot of the Fable 2 area because I don't want my Fable 2 experiencce ruined for me by knowing too much info prior to playing...I've not watched any dev diaries or read any news (that gives lots away) and I intend to keep it that way for as long as possible :lol:
