Plz Help

I Have A Problem With The Text Of The Game.sometimes The Subtitles Or The Text Of The Game Is Disappearing.I ALSO WANT TO NOW IF WINDOWS UPDATES MAKE THE GAME DONT WORK

Re: Plz Help

You Dont Have To Captialize Every Word In A Sentence.

and no, updates to windows shouldent make the game "dont work".

Maybe if you gave us some more information. The text of the game is disappearing isnt much to work with.

Re: Plz Help

Have you checked the specifications of the game compared to your OS? It could be you may need to disable some functions on your computer such as anti-virus checkers and the like. Some games run slower or appear to have more glitches if you have other applications running at the same time.

Re: Plz Help

the text doesnt appear.for example the subtitles, the statistics of each weapon or the ''game saved''l message.

Re: Plz Help

Has it always done this? Check the disc to see if there are any scratches or markings on it...that could be a possible culprit perhaps?

Re: Plz Help

You updated the drivers of your GFX card?

Can you maybe post a screenshot of the problem?

Re: Plz Help

I believe I am having the same issue that this fellow (or lass!) is having. The below URL should direct you to a screenshot with the wonky text.

http://www.pleadingbrilliance.com/storage/WTF.jpg

I have done some fairly extensive searching on the topic, and have yet to find any answer. I have tried changing the gameplay resolution and, as Microsoft suggests on their Known Issues page for the game, I have turned anti-ailiasing off.

The text in Fable has never shown up correctly for me. Subtitles and tutorials are usually garbled in the fashion depicted in the screenshot.

Unfortunately, I am not proficient enough with my computer's hardware to know where to look to find information on my graphics card. If it's of any help, my computer is a brand new Dell XPS 400.

If anybody here could give me some suggestions, I would be most gleeful! It would be nice to have a better idea of what I'm supposed to do with certain items in the game and whatnot!

Thank you,
- Arch

There are afew programs that can help you find out what GFX Card you have etc, PC Gamer have just put one on their demo discs called Belarc Advisor. I recommend downloading this and it will tell you what Card you have and then you can find the correct drivers for it. It also tells you if you are lacking any critical windows updates etc.

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit

If that doesnt work or isnt up to the job just say and i will give you the link to another one.

Thanks for giving me some direction!

The card detected is an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE. I apologize for being so needy, but I'm afraid I don't quite know what to do from here!

Beta Driver - Windows XP / 2000

Does this look like it would be useful with my issue? I'll be the first to admit that I have little idea as to what I'm looking at.

Thanks again,
- Arch

Try to avoid Beta drivers as they are not the finished versions. Take a look here i think those are the ones you are looking for:

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE 8.4.2.1 - VersionTracker

Release Date: 2006-03-09

Re: Plz Help

Alright! I will give that a try. Thanks again-again!

No problem at all, let me know how it goes.

Re: Plz Help

It seems to have helped out, but it didn't do the trick entirely. I take it this is the point at which I toggle the video options a bit more to see if I can get everything to work properly.

Thank you very much!
