Pokémon Black and White Introduction

Looks really crappy, Viva Pinata-looking Pokémon with a bad story by the looks of the cinematic. :(

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

I think it looks cool.

You can watch the makings of a let's play of it here.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

No, thanks. I do not like commentaries over video-games (excluding certain ones) And also, I do not want to get the game spoiled. I will always like Pokemon games anyway.

*Goes back to Silver*

No thanks, Nintendo... No thanks.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

These new pokemons look amazing. I don't see why you people are stuck with the old games so much.

Pokemon*

And no, they don't.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

Why would you say that? Look at #528, isn't it cute?

Here's the whole pokedex: Serebii.net

Not very impressive, IMO.
Rep.

Those Pokémon are all so unoriginal. I noticed a lot of them look like Digimon, rip offs of other Pokémon and sprites you would expect to see in a super nintendo quality of Tekken.

That Pokédex looks awful, if it was the original dex then Pokémon would never have taken off.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

I'm definitely with Dark on this one. I do like the new Pokemon, and it seems as though they're sparking less disappointment than the third and fourth generation Pokemon (obviously not here, that's just based on talk I've heard elsewhere). I'm definitely getting Black or White. They look awesome. Below is a list of numbers corresponding to the Pokemon that I legitimately think look good (not that the ones off this list are bad, these are just pretty good ones):

494 - 497
503
512
521
522
523
525
526
529
530
532 - 534
545
550 - 553
557
558
564 - 567
570
571
589
592
593
596
604
609
610 - 612
624
625
628
631 - 635
639
643
644
646
649

I don't actually expect anyone to go find each of these Pokemon in the link that Tyrant posted and tell me why each and every one of them isn't well made or don't seem like Pokemon, but do what you will with the list I've made.

Oh, and the video was removed.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

What they need to do is re-remake the original games. And I mean original. Remake the games with only the original 151 pokemon, but with the snazzy new graphics and item/pokemon storage system that they have now. In fact keep all the new features that they have come up with, but only 151 pokemon damnit! Oh, and make it possible to get them all without cheating or trading, that would be nice.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

The remakes were close enough. You didn't have to get the national Pokedex and start running into Pokemon from the second or third generation if you didn't want to. If you don't, the game is exactly as you're describing it. And really, there's nothing that forces you or gives you irresistible incentive to go beyond 151 Pokemon.

The no trading thing won't happen though. There have been a few Pokemon that show up in one of a pair's games, and others only show up in the other game (like Scyther and Pinsir in Kanto for example). That's how it's been since Red and Blue, and that's how it is now.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

Fixed the link - now in HD.

If you are interested in getting a working version of the rom, private message me.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

Just watched it, and it didn't impress me. I don't think that says much about how the game will be though. It seems like they're putting much more emphasis on the story in these two games than they have in the last four generations. It's difficult to tell whether that will make the game better or worse though. I guess I'll just have to see once I get it. I still like the new Pokemon though.

Re: Pokémon Black and White Introduction

The hell with all you haters. I'm uber excited.
