Wikileaks... What is your opinion on all these leaks of government files?
Are these people to be shamed or celebrated?
Why are they managing to steal these Docs?

Furthermore: Is it just me that finds that (no matter your position on the WikiLeaks guys) it is weird because Interpol has the WikiLeaks founder on their most wanted list for "Sexual Crimes" (To which the guy denies) just shortly after the second big leak? Just call it what it is guys: "We want the dude gone, if you see him, report him."

I think that there are bigger issues to worry about, such as the time bomb that is North Korea. However I don't think those politicians should be looked down upon for having(up until now) private conversations in which they spoke their mind.

On one hand, it's better for diplomacy to work secret, so the world doesn't get in panic whenever something weird is being said. We need not to know what politicians say, if it protects us from things we shouldn't hear. Furthermore, we could even hear something that is not bad at all, but as a broken truth, and out of context, we may still be shocked over something which is actually harmless.
Is it me, or is it not really comforting to suspect (or do we know, already?) that North-Korea has projectiles that could hit Western-Europe?

On the other, It's good to know what bad things there are going on, in the enemies camp, or for anything that helps the enemy, anyway. And if the world was perfect, we wouldn't have to live in a society that is controlled from behind the scenes. Wouldn't it be amazing to know that what a politician said is always the truth, and we know what he or she really means? And to know what goes on with every country in the world, without having to think about possible threats? But, as you all know, our world is far from perfect...

I think that WikiLeaks' ideal is good and moral, and my thoughts support it for about 78,4%. But we have yet to see if it works; it could always go wrong, and actually speed up the start of the World War III...

That's my 2 cents nobody really cares about.

None of this would have gotten out if the government didnt want it too, otherwise several people would have mysteriously dissapeared and the site wouldnt have existed more that a day. Its an attention stunt. I'm american by the way. Tea party FTW. I will not argue with you dont try.

Freedom of information is the only way to garuntee a truly free society.

And its despicable what the so-called "democratic" governments of the world are trying to do to get him out of the picture.

In unrelated news: he's also Australian. Go team!

That's assuming they know where those people are...

Well, you may be able to track certain people, but we know two things:
We don't know where Julian Assange is, and;
WikiLeaks has a massive security system.

...

Or so, the media says. :ermm:
...Yeah... Hm...The media...

OH SHI- Politics, the media and a strange site? TEMPLARS, I SAY.

>_>. That's right, I lost the interest to add anything to this thread; I said all I wanted to say. ;)

I said trust ANYONE anymore, Not EVERYONE anymore.. Theres a difference..

And I was going more for the Government/political side to it, Like you cant trust anything they say, you cant trust the leaders that you elect to lead.

.

How I word it isn't the point. What I was trying to say is leaders have never been trustworthy, it's just that in the past it was more of a case of leaders being able to get away with their corruption due to a less liberal media complaining about everything, humans have always been selfish, if lying helps them they'll do it.

He's wanted for rape and molestation here in Sweden. Throw him my way and I'll chuck an axe in his skull.

Could care less about Wikileaks though.

I really just love how those charges appeared right after he leaked thousands of pages of classified documents though. Really sounds not suspicious in any way.

WikiLeaks?
Not sure what a Wiki is, but if the government has a leak they should call a plummer.
There's even a chance it's a class-A female plummer.
Then she'll say something like:

Sexy voice: "Hi, I'm the plummer.. I'm here to fix your. Pipe"

Then you'll get all horny. she will press charges. your wife will leave you and you'll lose your job.
So you gotta ask yourself: is this WikiLeak really worth fixing?

I understand what you mean, Every human is good and bad, but people these days find it so hard to beleive that there are just good people, obviously with a few qwerky things about them. I am not a selfish person, for from it infact, and thats not me being vein, im just being modest.

Every leader comes with a nightmare of some sort, and when people find that out, they make it out to be so much worse then it is, just because they are higher up, leaders are just like you and I, no different.

Human nature is a myth. We are all products of our environment. We have the power to change that environment, so we have the power to change human nature.
