Portal 2 Delayed

Those of you that have been anxiously awaiting the scheduled release of Valve’s Portal 2 in February 2011 will now have to hold your breath just a little big longer as the company has announced that the title is now slated for a release in April of next year.​

Referring to the announcement as the “shortest delay in Valve’s proud tradition of delays”, the company stated that the set back also represents “the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date.”

Funny.

Getting specific, Shacknews has been able to confirm that the game will hit North America and Australia on April 20 and on April 22 in Europe.

So, how bummed are you that you will have to wait EVEN longer for Portal 2? Will the wait be worth it?

Extended development is always good for the final product, besides, I have plenty of other games to catch up on to keep me entertained until the release of Portal 2.

Meh, Portal was a great game, and now they're just trying to cash in on it's success by making a sequel. If this is successful, then they'll make another. They'll keep flogging the series until it becomes just another doomed game series.

If they can use this time to perfect the game and rid it of issues before release then great. Id still rather Valve worked on Half Life 2 Episode 3 or Half Life 3 though. As Portal 2 should be released on a package like the last one was and not a separate retail game.
