[PREVIEW] Chocolate Lemon Have Some Screenshots of the Aurora in the Playable E3 Demo
Nice wrap up.. I noticed than a lot of people think Fable III will be bad, yet all these previews have had very positive feedback.

Lionhead Studios presented a playable demo of their latest behemoth, Fable III. There were several different variations of gameplay that were available to try out, ranging from protagonists with good or evil alignments, with different genders and so forth. Set over a dozen years after Fable 2, you will work your way towards ruling your own kingdom, where the decisions you make not only impact the character you play as, but the kingdom its self.
In the segment I had the opportunity to play, I was an evil aligned female, guiding an older gentleman through a cave, where enemies appear, as you have to save the cowardly companion from them. The face buttons correspond with melee attacks (X), ranged attacks (Y), magic attacks (B) as well as evasion (A). While the hack and slash nature seemed stilted in the demo, only allowing one melee attack without a commencement of more melee blows, going from melee to ranged to magic provides a powerful combination is its own right. Holding the left trigger down will let you aim your ranged attacks at whatever enemy is in front of you. Holding down any of the offensive buttons will enable you to land a significantly more powerful blow, one that either straight up attacks (melee), provide an AE affect around you that wipes out the opposition (magic) or aimed towards adversaries ahead of you (ranged). Jon Eckersley, senior artist to Fable III, mentioned that magic in the final build will now be based off bracelets to help simplify things eve more, while also being able to combine various magics together.
he world of Aurora is absolutely breathtaking, only to be outdone by the narrative, even at this demo stage
The presentation is top notch, with some incredibly detailed visual designs, breathtaking lighting, and a different focus towards the narration during your journey. For Fable III, instead of choosing whatever option to continue the dialog, things will be more streamlined, with a more cinematic feel, as well as some famous Hollywood voice over work to drive the experience forward even more. Even with the brief glimpse into the world of Fable III, I can tell the hard work towards making the story and narratives more streamlined gives a better sense of attachment to the unfolding plot ahead of you.
Fable III is slated for a mid October 2010 release for the Microsoft Xbox 360. With the direction the title is heading, this will sure to be one of the most anticipated titles to be offered during this upcoming holiday season. Below are several images from Fable III for you all to enjoy:
