Prince of Persia

Out of boredom I remembered about Prince of Persia. The old one. You know. Remember this?

The game is nearly 20 years on and I'm still loving it. I used to play it for hours. Well. Maybe not hours, I did have the attention span of a 4 year old (due to the fact that I was 4) I also downloaded Space invaders (the original, not some cheap rehashed version with a new haircut). I never played it as a kid, but it's a classic so I figured why not. I also downloaded a few of my Sega Genesis (or Megadrive, depending on where you live) favourites, Sonic 2 and Golden Axe. *sigh* good times.

I used to play it on the old Amiga system, good times very good times.

Its the sort of stuff that burns itself into your brain. I mean i havent played The Settlers or Golden Axe (originals) in a very long time but i bet i could remember everything about them when i started again.

I only vaguely remember the first two levels of Prince of Persia. And the eagle bit in Golden Axe.

Ive been thinking about getting a new Settlers game, i know they have been making a new one. My favourite games they were Settlers and Settlers 2, i used to play the 2nd on PC but it doesnt work with Windows XP which makes me sad.

Yeah, I couldn't get Prince of Persia to work on the PC. DOSbox and WinUAE are both deciding to be gay. I managed to get Dosbox to work fine on my PSP though, which is strange:lol:

Oh my gosh - I used to play that game in black and white...the colour computers cost too much :lol:

I remember running and then sliding along...I did that for a bizarre amount of time, to be fair. I just couldn't get over any game which wasn't Pong :lol:

Steve's been playing that recently. It looks like some crazy adaptation of Jurassic Park...

I really really want to get some of the old games I used to play like Manhole, SimAnt and Shadowgate...

I know. He's the one who reminded me of the game. And I finally figured out the name of it. I was so happy. It's all because of the links at the bottom of this page. Dino Crisis :ninja:

I remember Dino Crisis from a while back, and SimAnt was legendary. ^_^

Oh yeah, memories, Prince of Persia was cool...
I rember the first time we played this (well, my dad and some other people). We didn`t know the sword was on the first level so we simply tried to outrun the bad guy at the beginning.

I haven't played any of the "new" Prince of Persia, but if they're anything like Assassins Creed as I'm lead to believe then they should be good.
