problem running fable the lost chapters

I`ve installed the game ie all CD`s but when I try to run it I get an error message
"protection stub has stopped working" my os is vista I`ve attempted to run in xp compatability mode and as adminisrator but no luck,
ny ideas please

Tried the command prompt thing and disabled the DEP this didn`t work only problem is also tried the command prompt "allways on" but this didn`t enable the DEDEP so what can I do now to enable it ? I`ve tried going to an early restore point but still no joy
