Since the release of the firmware update v3.56 last week many PS3 owners have been reporting issues upgrading their console's hard disk drive since. The 3.56 firmware prevents more recently released PS3 models (with 16 MB flash) from being upgradeable to a new hard disk drive.
The following models are said to have been affected.
