Pub Game consequences confirmed

Gamespot recently put up an interview with PM himself and he apparently confirmed that there will be consequences for cheating. He refused to say, however, whether the glitch was intentional.

PM: I'm not going to say anything about that. All I'm going to say is that Fable is all about looking at what you're like as a player. Cheating is a reflection of what you're like as a player. Fascinatingly, I spoke to a few people who found out about the cheat but decided not to use it because they were worried about the possible consequences. Maybe they're wise people. Don't expect there not to be consequences; after all, let's remind ourselves that Fable says every choice has a consequence. And cheating is a choice.

But you only get punished if you merge with the pub character.. so you can still cheat without feeling the consequense...

Im just saying.. ppl who cheated and dont merge their character, wont get punished, so even tho they did cheat there wont be a consequence..
I cheated, and Im deffenetly going to see what happens at some point - I wanna see every aspect Fable II has to offer.

PS not gonna cheat in first playthru - and I wouldnt have even if there wasn't a consequence

Much like the way I'm planning on going about it, and running one character without merging it, beating the game with that character, and then starting up a second character and merging that with a cheater's pub games, JUST for PM's consequences.
