Pub Games: To patch or Not To Patch?

I've been reading about (a) certain glitch(es) that one can use if one does not patch Fable II: Pub Games.

I don't care about cash, so besides monetary benefits is there any reason not to patch the game?

if all you need is money, then no, but if you want items from tourneys then, yes its easier, as you can glitch you way to a quick 5 start rating then get any item from fortunes tower. your choice, i guess
