Pub games Transfer problems

Alright, so i played pub games and got three stars in fortunes tower on my hero. I went to the game master in westcliff and played a game of fortunes tower, but he wouldnt give me the coat. WTF? I made a three star lynch character, merged him with my character and he still wouldnt give me the coat...Someone please help me out here. So far it seems i spent 800 MP for nothing...

There's the problem. I recall reading that merging your Hero makes redeeming your prizes impossible.
