This has confused me for some time. At the beginning of the game once you leave the hero's guild, on the quest table there is a quest to defeat a snow troll in hook coast. But you can't take it because it says your renown is not high enough, and once you complete the trader escort quest it's no longer there. Has anyone ever done this quest before?

No i think they're only there to tease you It's impossible to do them mate.
(I know this since i've mastered Strenght, Skill and Will before even doing a single quest)

Yeah the game is set up to remove the quests when your renown gets high enough rather than allow you to do them
