Question abou pre-ordering.

So I'm planning to pre-order Fable III LCE and The Balverine Order this week through Amazon, that and the shipping to México gets me a grand total of 150 USD. My question is, when I "check out" will that amount be charged into my CC or will a certain percent be charged now and the rest on release day?

Thanks

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

I'm almost 100% positive they charge your card now. I'd bet money on it.

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

I'm pretty sure you are not charged until the item is dispatched. Sometimes they will charge you if you have ordered something else alongside the pre-order which is currently in stock. Best to pre-order separately if that's the case.

Bear in mind I'm going on Amazon UK's policy - I don't know if it's universal.

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Oh I figured he was ordering together. Is the book out yet? I thought it was, but I haven't been paying very close attention.

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

I've got no idea - I'm only basing my answer on how Amazon.co.uk does things so I could be horrendously wrong :)

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

We can both be wrong! Together!

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Hurrah for us!

But sadface for Tyrant because he'll have to spend all that money at once...:(

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Well I buy from GAME and they only charge on release as Angel said, I'm not sure if it's different in other places, best bet is to phone or email and check.

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Book is pre-order too, it's out on the 5th of October. I think I'll email them. Thanks everyone, +rep for all!

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Quick question. How is it $150? The game itself costs about $80 (Limited Edition, normal is $50) and the book is $10. That would be at most $90. If you're paying $60 for S&H you need to cancel your order immediately. You're better off getting it at your local game store (for example, GameStop).

Hahahaha. We don't have Gamestops here son, besides, Gameplanet (the primary VG store here.) is charging 1300 pesos, which is around 110 USD. Balverine Order is not coming to México.

Besides, México does not get Villager Maker.

Wow. Dude, I don't care how good the tacos are, you need to leave that place and come live in a real country.

There's no way I'd survive out there.

1. Tacos are the most awesome thing ever. That **** you've got there is called tostada here.

2. México is a real country, don't judge it. If foreign things are expensive it's because the other countries *¨cough*USA*cough* think that shipping to Europe is cheaper than the country they have next door (true story)

Tomato, tomato.

Wait... that doesn't work over the internet.

Bah! It doesn't have a proper game store! How could it possibly be considered a real country?

Re: Question abou pre-ordering.

Just in case anyone was wondering:
Me:Will I be charged for a pre-order the moment I place my order or when
the item is available?04:27:35 p.m.

Mary:Hello, my name is Mary. I'll be happy to help you today. 04:27:54 p.m.

Mary:There is an authorization that is sent to the bank. but we dont actually pull the money until we ship04:28:24 p.m.

Me:Perfect, now, just another question, if I'm planning to pre-order two items, but one of them is released earlier than the other, is it charged to me when the other ships (assuming I choose to have only one delivery)04:30:22 p.m.

Mary:depending on the delivery speed. if you choose super saver shipping they will ship together and charge at the same time... really there is no way to tell.

Me:Very well, thank you very much
