So let me this straight, as long as you fulfill one type of requirement, it is added into a 'pool' of possible morphs, which will be randomly chosen when you unlock a chest?

For example, assume I kill TONS of Hollowmen. This adds the Bone Hilt Morph to the pool.

Now assume I find TONS of chests. This adds the Ornate Hilt to the pool.

So now I have a 50/50 chance of getting either Hilt?

---

Reason is, I want to wait till I get to the end of the game before upgrading my weapons, and I plan on getting the ones I want. It is almost a guarantee every player gets the Bone Hilt after the Hollowmen missions. So basically, as I go through the game a second time, I will be treasure hunting. So basically this means by the end of the game I will have a good bit of chests unlocked. Therefore, I might get the Ornate Hilt?

Hmmmmmm, this is an interesting mind set.
I found it hard to up grade weapons, once i have become supreme ruler; allot of the enemy just didnt appear as often. It was, like all the evil creatures just gave up, because i defeated the darkness.
So restarted the game due to the fact i made a bad decision, when i was the ruler. Ever since then i've been playing the game at a slower pace. And now, i mainly do weapon and gold farming for ppl.
It is true every player will get the Bone Hilt after completing the weapon criteria. However saying this; how you react to your people, your way with money, and housing, and potions effects the weapon as well. My hero sword, handle/blade is red, due to my apparent buying up businesses, and investments. I have the casanova sword, fully up graded to legendary, and the blade is also red. I can only deduce, that it is for the same reason. To ensure the Ornate Hilt, my conclusion, would be to watch how your weapons are changing though out the game, and adjust your actions, to what you deem approperate.
I will check in my weapons armament for the ornate hilt, I believe my hero sword has that as its handle. If it does it will explain how i got it on my sword, and i shall post back what i did; if this is the case.
hope this has been informative.
Cheers
