For those who don't know, Dio was... A rock legend, I wouldn't go as far to say a Metal Michael Jackson, but something similar. He died earlier this evening of Stomach Cancer.

Damn, I was just reading zakk wyldes. article about how he was still alive. This sucks, he wasn't my idol or anything, but I still liked his music. Well at least he got to say goodbye to some people. R.I.P. Metal is just that much less awesome now.

It's sad to see him go. I didn't like his music or most of what he helped influence, but I did enjoy his cameo in the Pick of Destiny.

Led Zeppelin were better though.

Y'know what ****es me off the most? Britney Spears shows her snatch on the way out of a car (again) and all the world's media is humping the story.

A friggin' heavy metal legend dies, and what does he get? Next to nothing.

I thought he was great and I wish him all the best in the after life, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was the "Michael Jackson of Metal."

I tried speaking about his death to a lot of people, and the majority of them had never heard of him sadly.
