So I saw a copy of RAGE for next to nothing today and was wondering if anyone here has it and whether they'd recommend it?

Bear in mind this is me we're talking about and that I'm the gaming equivalent of Forrest Gump in a Mensa testing centre.

I've read the book but I'm guessing that won't help me much...

I know it got some bad as hell reviews for pc. Like awful, but i think that was to do with the texture popping and all of the bugs. My friend however loved it when he played it on xbox so, he played it so much. I think it would be a good purchase for like £10. :P

So yeah, just get it on Xbox. Not pc. ;)

Yeah, it'd be for the 360...and in Morrisons they're flogging it for a tenner so was just wondering if it was worth the cash or not.

Textures don't bother me too much, but if it's bugged to hell like Fallout New Vegas then perhaps I should avoid it - unless there have been patches released to cover most of the main issues? I liked the book - but again, I don't think that will help me much.

Apparently there was a patch recently that fixed most of the issues. :)

I heard Rage was pretty cool guy. I'd risk it.

Looked decent and it was on my list but was swallowed amongst the huge amount of other games I purchased at the time so never did get around to purchasing it. Got some decent reviews on console though and people seem generally positive about it.

Well, the demo is already available on XBL. Tried it out myself and I wasn't much impressed with the demo, the driving is pretty crap and I hate that they don't have objective markers, so I didn't know where the hell I was going most of the time.

I've never played it, but a lot of my friends loved it. They've only ever complained about the bugs, multi-player, and that the story was too short.

The one thing that impressed me greatly is how friggin' smooth the game runs on mah 360. They've got some sort of herculean game engine that makes the framerate stay the same no matter how much is going in. It is just... neat. It is hard to describe, you'd have to play it to fully understand...
