Recycled Names

I have 6 children with one wife (yeah, it took a while, but making sure I'm funny, loved, and attractive probably worked). I have 2 girls and 4 boys, but 2 of the boys are named Frank...and I'm not too excited about it. I'm wondering if there are only a few names for each gender (since you probably shouldn't have that many kids anyway). Frank, Tim, Andy, Frank for boys and Amy and Ella for girls.
Has this ever happened to you?...what are the names of the children you've had?

The most children I've ever had is three, and the most children I've ever had that grew out of the crib is two, so the odds of the happening to me are pretty slim. I'm surprised that happened to you, actually. There are quite a few names in the database. Any name that a villager has is in the same database as children's names.

Hmm...I can't really remember the names of very many of my children. I've had Jim before for a boy, and I've had Amy for a girl. I usually end up changing their names, though. I've changed some of my girls' names to Katie and Elizabeth, and I've named some of my boys Charlie and Andrew.

Yeah, I'd like to change the names of them, but when they talk to me the bottom (subtitles) will show the original name...which is buuuuull >(...but anyway.

I had six children with my wife but they all had different names. 3 boys and 3 girls

Just loaded up my game. The kids names with my first wife are:
- Dean
- Emma
- Andrea
- Bill
- Rick
- Karen
I have had two kids with my second wife and they are called:
- Louise
- Geoff
I didn't rename any of them, all default names

WHY CAN'T I HAVE THOSE NAMES???!!! >(...grrr. What kind of Wife did you marry? It might have something to do with their characteristics...my wife is: Common, Straight, Funny, Childish Quirky.

Side note: I just got my 7th child >D...but her name is Amy...AGAIN!!! >(...so I named them all after a Virtue (Humility, Charity, Chastity, Temperance, Kindness, Diligence, and Patience) since I'm Pure Good...and I love it. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get more children though, I guess I'll just keep them or name them something I like.
