Its finally official! Rockstar have confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming and it will be out Fall 2017 with a trailer coming this Thursday.

Sequel to include a "brand-new online multiplayer experience" and more.

I always thought it was ambitious to be releasing in 2017 so it's no surprise to me, might actually have time to finish other games by time it releases now.

I thought the plot was superb to be honest, one of my favourite games of all time.

Nice, I'll play it after I've finished with Shadowrun: Dragonfall then. I think I need a little break from the game before Hong Kong.


Of course the downside of waiting to play famous games like RDR is that I kinda know what awaits me at the end of the game.

Yeah it's unfortunate that spoilers for a game like that would be everywhere & dampens the experience somewhat when you know the conclusion but still it's a great game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 comes on two discs

The Japanese box art for the game and, more recently, images of the game posted to Twitter, show Rockstar's epic is split into a "data disc" and a "play disc".

It looks like you use the data disc to install the game first, then use the play disc to, predictably, play the game.
That the game comes on two discs is very much a good thing, as Red Dead Redemption 2 weighs in at around 100GB. Without two discs it wouldn't be playable without a significant download.

When it comes to disc installation, on PS4 Red Dead Redemption 2 requires 99GB of space. On Xbox One it requires a whopping 107GB of installation space.

It's the same for Xbox One when it comes to digital installation, but on PS4, 99GB installation space is required for digital, with an additional 50GB required for the installation process.
