Redeeming LCE DLC Code after starting game??

Once I pick up my CE on Friday i won't be able to get onto XboxLive until Saturday at the earliest, and as im sure you can all understand i dont want to have to wait till saturday to start playing!! So my question is, if i start my game and dont enter my CE DLC code until saturday, will everything still work normally without me having to restart my whole game??

Im just worried as ive read you recieve the items at certain points throughout the game.

No you shouldn't need to start again the items will just appear in the gift area of the sanctuary.
