Replying Feedback.

I have a bit of Feedback to my Fellow Forum members, The ones I like and the ones I dont really even know.. When someone is asking a question and its in the wrong place. PLEASE, PLEASE! Dont just go "Wrong place" or.. "This is in the wrong place".

You dont have to be rude about it, Just answer the question IF you know it and then mention it to them, If you dont know the answer then dont reply. Im sure a Mod will see it and change it.

Its just kind of pointless writing "Wrong place".

That was my Feedback towards you guys.

In other news! You're doing great!

Re: Replying Feedback.

Wasn't there a word for someone who does that and they aren't a Moderater? Something like God Modding, or something. I can't quite remember.

Re: Replying Feedback.

It doesnt Literally move the thread.

for example..

"Hey! Im new Here and I was just wodnering how you Ressurect your dog?" (In the FABLE Discussion forums.)

Bad Answer.
"Wrong place."

.. Get what I mean? Just pointless and doesnt solve any problems, You cant change where it is only the mods can, if you want it changed SO badly dont just reply just tell the mods. SIMPLE.

Or you're doing it to get your post count up.. which is.. pointless.. really..

Re: Replying Feedback.

+rep for you Scarecrow - it annoys me when people just post something like "wrong place" or "google is your friend" when someone takes the trouble to sign up so they can ask our community for help - even if they never come back afterwards, we're here to be a Fable resource as well as a bunch of people to talk to, so when you get a response like the aforementioned it's very off-putting and makes you not want to come back or recommend this place to anyone else.

It's easily done to post Fable 2 stuff in the Fable section and vice versa - there's no need for people to get all snippy with someone who makes a mistake, after all.

Re: Replying Feedback.

Theres always a more pleasant way to point people in the right direction. ^_^

Best not to put people off the forums with their first posts, just be nice about it and helpful.

Re: Replying Feedback.

I think this is a good little thing if someone was being persistent with the posting questions that already have answers. www.lmgtfy.com

It's quite nifty. But yeah I totally agree with Adam and other agreers. I try to point out that the post is in the wrong section lightly but answer the question to my fullest at the same time.

Re: Replying Feedback.

replying something useful is always nice to. not just "lol I agree!". you can agree all you want but a little feedback would be nice. but befor you point it out, yes I am probably guilty of breaking this rule on more than one ocasion (< R.I.P. spelling....).

new people quite often post in the wrong place, everyone is new to things at one point so just politly correct them and if possible answer their quesion. if they do it again it is perfectly fine to compleatly fly off the handle and let them have it. :P
