Capcom and Sony announced a new edition of Resident Evil 5 at this year's Tokyo Games Show, the Alternate Edition, which will take advantage of Sony's new motion controller.
The Alternate Edition features the original Resident Evil 5 package with controls made to fit with Sony's motion controller, and a bonus episode.
The bonus episode is said to feature Chris and Jill in a scenario that takes places 3 years prior to the events that unfolded in RE5. The episode will be co-op like the original - replacing Sheva with Jill, will offer around 2 hours of gameplay, and players can expect more horror than anything on show in RE5.
What does this mean for us 360 owners? Well Famitsu is reporting (via
IGN) that the bonus episode will be made available for 360 owners in a different form. How they plan to deliver it remains to be seen though... DLC, disc? We just don't know yet, but at least you'll get the chance to experience it one way or the other. More details when it breaks.
