For those of you who play MMORPG's, I'd definitely suggest Rift. I've been having a blast playing it. The gameplay is similar to any MMORPG (Most closely to World of WarCraft, though). The Interface is laid out the same, just shinier and more pretty. The graphics, however, are great. I also love the fact that you can be three classes and get to work on all three skill trees.

I also love the fact that Rifts are random and have a huge effect in the game.

I didn't think I'd ever be saying this, but from seeing the ridiculous stats for this game already, I think WoW has some competition. Or at least soon.

It has a monthly fee.
Will not consider.

It's most definitely a look into, especially if you're getting tired of World of WarCraft, or whatever current MMORPG. To be honest, for me, it felt like a breath of fresh air, but I haven't played WoW since Burning Crusade.

If I had the money and a computer that didn't cry when you try to play Solitaire on it, this is actually something I might go for. I've been watching it for a while now and it's looking good - I'm just too poor and have too many children requiring things like food and attention to be able to get nicely stuck into it.

Do you know if there is any sort of trial account thing they have? I couldn't find any. It may be too early in the game's release to have that kind of thing like that available, but the game is definitely worth considering playing from what I've seen of it. I just don't want to be stolen away from WoW. So much time and effort has gone into it! :P

If you got enough money you could play both. But paying for 2 games a month is a bit ridicolous, atleast for me it is. :P

But Rift seems pretty nice graphics are better than those of WoW and the random rifts seem pretty cool too. I might look in to this but first i want to play a trial.

Guild Wars 2 seems pretty nice too but isnt released yet.

woop woop ty angel

Also, I know a lot of people who've subscribed to Rift since the beginning (if you know anyone like this), get a trial code they could give to friends. It's good for a couple of days and you aren't limited to anything (I think), so you could check auctions, mail, etc. Where I know other MMORPG trials are usually limited.

Hey i got a free weekend code did you get one too?

I just checked, and I did. I'm actually looking forward to this game. From what I've heard, it did rip off of WoW A LOT, but there is nothing wrong with ripping something off as long as you improve on it.

And remember, WoW ripped off EverQuest, which ripped off Ultima Online. Again, note that Blizzard stole a lot of ideas from other MMORPG's and claimed it as their own, thus the reason they're in so many lawsuits, 'cause smaller companies are suing them left and right.

Which is good, 'cause then Blizzard, with the amount of money they're making off WoW ALONE throughout its launch to present, would own the gaming industry when it comes to PC gaming.

Good points.

I just want this damn game to download faster! If I enjoy this game enough, and my friends don't come back to WoW, I'm going to probably buy the game and switch subscriptions. Do you get a free month with the purchase of the game?

When I downloaded the game, it was really late at night, so when it was done, I just went to bed. Haha.

I've played the game for a few hours, and I won't lie, it is VERY well thought out from what I've seen. The only thing I see preventing me from buying this game is basically just kinda the theme and art style. Not too big a fan of it, but that doesn't make it a bad game, that's just my personal preference. And the talent trees are... interesting. I prefer linear trees, but these ones you can just damn well mix it up and do what you want. I'm just wondering if there will be any bad balancing side effects to this. Oh well, Blizzard can't balance the classes they have and something is ALWAYS overpowered or useless. I think Rift's mix of these can pretty well help you sort the balancing out yourself. Just swap to another... Soul? I can't remember what they were called in the game. You have 3 something to choose under, say, a rogue and you can mix those together. Whatever they call that.

I think all these games will have to compete with Vindictus.
