How much money must I donate to the Temple of Light to get the Rising Sun?

Wait until the time is between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, then donate 15,000 gold.

Like He Said .... You can donate more than 15000 if you want but it wont get you any more good...

DON'T DO THAT MUCH!!!
For my first donation, I did 1,000 and they said I have the potential to be the...whatever. Then you donate 5,000...or 10,000 I think
so you don't need to do so much...at least in my game you don't

Um, you only have to donate 10,000 between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

But first you have to make a smaller donation of 1,000 gold, at which point the guy will remark that "you're heart is bursting with generosity" and give you the option of acquiring the rising sun.
