I want to go open the final chest there but the icon will not show up because the heart icon is always there. I think it is there because my wife died at the end of the main storyline. Can anyone help?

Are you saying that you can't get to RtR or that when you're there you just can't open the chest? If you're saying you can't get to it go to your sanctuary and use the portal in there.

Go to the Sanctuary > turn around > use the portal behind you.
