Rockstar have more ideas for Red Dead

Since the success of the award winning Red Dead Redemption Rockstar have been rather quiet on their thoughts about a sequel. However they have revealed that they have "a massive number of ideas" for the Western epic that they are yet to use. Rockstar's VP of product development Jeronimo Barrea said that Rockstar were delighted that the game grew so strongly via word-of-mouth recommendations.​

[We're most pleased] either that huge numbers of people loved the game enough to play through to the end, and then encouraged friends to play it - we hope without spoiling the end for them - or at a more basic level... that we could convince that many people that they wanted to play a game about the wild west. However for all the games we work on, we have a massive number of ideas that [don't] make it in.

I have never been a Rockstar fan, but I realize they make quality games, but I hope Red Dead doesn't become overdone and capitalized like GTA.

I doubt it will, as its more story driven and personal than GTA and i dont think they would want to milk it. Hence the reason they dont want to announce a sequel just yet, they arent sure what to do about it.
