As expected Rockstars open world record breaker GTA V has run into some issues when its online mode launched on Tuesday. Firstly due to the sheer demand of traffic trying to access the game the servers went into meltdown (as they warned previously) and now they have been hit with multiple connectivity issues that they are working around the clock to fix. GTA V sales are estimated to be somewhere at the 15 million mark so it was no surprise when this happened, Rockstar have asked for patience while they iron out these teething problems.

We are continuing to look into these issues and are working around the clock on resolving them as quickly as possible. This includes close monitoring of our support systems, forums, social media, and in-game data to measure traffic along with community sentiment to ensure ongoing improvements to stability.

The acknowledged list of online problems include:
  • Occasional "Rockstar Cloud Servers Unavailable" error message
  • Freezing sometimes while loading into first race in GTAO with "waiting for other players" on the screen
  • Intermittent "Failed to Host a GTA Online Session" error messages
  • Race Corona (start area, marker) occasionally not showing up for first race
  • Errors saying "Timed out when matchmaking for a compatible GTA Online Session to join"
  • Occasional errors about jobs failing to start or load
  • General issues with the Social Club site and Social Club features
  • Misc. network and server-related error messages, disconnections, or cloud server errors
  • Errors saying "Mission Failed" as soon as the mission begins during a session
Rockstar have also released a patch for the single player to rectify some issues.
Here's the official changelog for the patch:
  • Fix for interface issues when using Internet on the cell phone after completing the game, or during a mission replay
  • Fix for the Vanilla Unicorn occasionally becoming locked
  • Fix for issues where the character's money could drop below zero and become stuck there
  • Fix for the Epsilon Program missions not progressing properly after delivering some cars
  • Fix for issue where the Atomic Blimp sometimes does not appear as a phone contact for Collector's Edition owners
  • Fix for issues with saved vehicles going missing, or losing their upgrades
  • Fixes for several map escape and collision issues along with other various bug fixes

I feel sorry for the poor sods who have to work overtime to make something that couldn't be possibly shipped by October 1st make it happen by a delusional deadline.

I managed to get online yesterday forawhile then the host left. So I started up a solo session pretty damn good up until I couldnt download a mission on level 5 but meh I robbed a fair few stores got too well known at that so decided to check out some hookers as it turns out the animations are the same for both male and female characters either that or my female character is actually a tranny.

I haven't even tried it yet, going to leave it a while until the issues are ironed out before I even attempt it. Plus I have plenty of the actual game to finish yet im only on 52% completion so far.
