[RUMOUR] Fable III Accidently Confirmed For PC?

Its either a simple concept error on the released Box Art or Microsoft have accidently confirmed that Fable III is also on its way to PC.

As you can see, Fable III's pretty cover - unless it's a horrible, painful error - will sport a big "Only on Xbox 360 & Windows" stamp, which sort of suggests a PC version is on the way.

The original Fable of course made its way to PC via The Lost Chapters, but so far where Fable II's concerned mouse and keyboard gamers haven't had a look in.

We'll fire off some e-mails and get you an answer...

Very interesting.

We probably won't see it hit PC until next year, though. Or, it'll come out as a "special edition" on the pc with like... I dunno... Some sort DvD or something with it.

This could be the answer to my prayers! Fable 3 for PC would be absolutely brilliant. I haven't properly played on my 360 for months after being reintroduced back into PC gaming. If this is the case then I will be a very happy bunny. :)

Doesn't seem to make sense that they would miss out Fable 2 though...

I quite like this cover, but I would prefer the old style of cover with the bloke then an evil reflection. I don't like change.

Other than that, it doesn't really apply to me as my PC is nowhere near good enough to play this lol.

Haha. Accidents happen I guess, although it seems strange. They may just have "accidently" showed it to get pc gamers interested in buying the product and start saving their money :P

I'm not a pc gamer anyway so this doesn't concern me very much. I love the new cover though. Thanks Drakan

There's an evil reflection for the crown :)

I really like how they did the crown in the same theme as the previous good/evil box arts

^Me too, but i hope the crown could look more epic than that good crown (when I'm good) and more epic (in an evil way) when I'm evil. Because doesn't look too extreme and I like it when they have very visible differences (i.e. colors, more evident shape differences, etc.)

Fable 2 on xbox 360 was modifiable (strictly experience and money), but it was still able to be modded.

Also, the mods on Fable 2 are pretty pointless, I know for certain you can achieve max money and experience through exploiting the games mechanics. What John is referring to is proper modding - textures, scripts, etc. That would be awesome and I would have to upgrade my PC just to see some of the sweet stuff.

Ya I know, I'm just saying it's possible, but very strict. Did I say experience? Oops, sorry, I meant renown, ya you could modd renown. The others, like you said, can just be obtained with exploits.

Sounds cool. I saw a gta 4 mod where he made the entire city filled with snow, the cars would leave tracks, the people would leave footprints ad it snowed 24/7. That must have taken a while to mod, right?

Best News soo far. I might get two copies of Fable III. One on the Xbox 360, and the other on the PC. I'll try modding this time around.

Same here, hp. I'd like a copy for 360 so me and Angel can work on getting some of the achievements in co-op but I'd also like to be able to capture some video walkthroughs, guides, locations, etc on PC and get some good coverage of Fable 3 available out there.

Also, I know I could do this on 360 but I hardly touch mine anymore and I'll be damned if I'm gonna shell out £140 for one of those Hauppague HD PVR thingies or a crappy Dazzle Platinum. I'm perfectly happy sticking with my PC-only capture card.

The only reason I'd even want Fable on PC is to try modding again. Haven't modded F1 for years now.

I like this boxart :O alot..
And would be a bit stupid to go from Fable 1 to Fable 3 on Windows... But hey w/e works right.

They had a LOT of demand for fable 2 on pc from the modding community so it's not that silly and if released later may result in people buying the game twice (once for 360 to play and a second time when the pc version is released for modding) so could be an intelligent move...however this really doesnt bother me as Fable is MADE for the xbox and on pc it just feels clunky. I cant see F3 being any different
