I think what you are talking about is once you take the potion, you can not change back. But if you meet some one else in the same place they can trade you there potion so you can change back.

The peice of **** potion inside fairfax? The one that alchamist worked so hard for? Not worth drinking and you can't sell it. There is no point to it exept to ruin you character.
