shields?

In Bowerstone, as you walk past the weapons selling guy, he says something like "get them here, swords, axes, shields". I've played the game, but there aren't any shields.

No, sadly you cannot buy shields. It's a shame because I was quite looking forward to hiding behind it whilst running for the nearest exit...

Yes, hopefully they'll include shields in Fable 2. I was hoping to bash some bandits' heads in with a nice chunk of wood...

Nah, i didnt really miss them in Fable. The game was way to easy anyway, mostly becuase you could block pretty much anything.

But in fable 2... maybe? But i think wooden shield would render useless against a rifle^^

I think if shields arent in Fable 2 then its a missed opportunity for another path and style of the combat.

Maybe so but how many NPC's have you seen with guns so far? Im sure some will have them but im sure the majority wont.

Well say they have Shields for melee.. and Bullet Proof Vests for Rifles eh?

Yea but i mean i never blocked in fable honestly.. never pushed "Y" (xbox controller)

so yea no need for them even though it would bring in a wider variety of stuff.. legendary shields..

oh do you get like Crafting levels and Armour making levels in Fable 2?

I'm not sure, not to much has been leaked. But I do agree with you, i never blocked in the game.... and lived (cept for scorpion!:realmad It cracks me up in the beginning when the Guildmaster says it can save your life, because it never really has for me

Maybe they could make combat much harder in Fable 2, like in Oblivion a shield could actually save your life.

Oh yes. Shields are very useful in Oblivion, especially with those nasty hordes of rats and goblins. Pesky little creatures....

And as for blocking in Fable, its a joke. The only thing that avoids the block is the trolls rock attacks (in TLC, the ice trolls ice pillars). Other than that, its quite useless.

Heres hoping shields are incorporated in any way.

Well you also look at the fact that if you want to use a 2H weapon you have to constantly switch between your (2H weapon) and your 1h sword and shield. Unless you have barbaric strength and can use a 2h sword as a 1h sword with a shield

no there is not any shields in fable 2 if you guys were fable fans you would be watching the video diarys by lion head studios on the subject of fablr two and not on any of the screns they show u it has no SHIELDS because its not part of the traddition

The only reason people assumed a shield would be somewhere was because the Merchant says "Swords, Shields Axes!".
Also, I didn't see anyone saying shields are going to be in fable 2, They only stated it as an idea.

If u think about the whole game such the time period ur in it wouldnt make any sense to have shields, but i also wouldnt mind if they added it. THat WOuld Be COol!!
