Shooters

I for one am tired of them. I mean first gears then halo 3 then call of duty 4. We have a lot of shooters for the 360 but not a lot of anything else. Also shooters get boring cause of campers.

i dont know. i like shooters. i can deal with campers cause its easy to kill them. plus i like the online multiplayer cause theres always going to be something different about it, what with the vast amount of players. it makes a good challenge. i like things to be constantly fresh, unlike in most nonshooters where you do the same things over and over again.

and as for the different shooter games: maybe they realease them because of new features and a storyline thats different from most of them

Sometimes when i get angry i can get kills easier sometimes i can barley get a kill. Long story short campers **** me off so much i can barely play.

People who stay at one spot usally where there is a power weapon or place where they can defend easily and get kills without even trying.

I figured as much. I'd have that too. Like I said, that's why I usually don't play online with people. ^_^

It's funny though because if I recall correctly, aren't shooters are among the best selling games for that particular genre, or just gaming in general?

Well they are making their way up the charts, but slowly. I think it's going to take a long time before shooters start to die out, if in fact they ever do.:wacko:

FPS's will always be my fave genre and camping is a tactic just as much as any other, also snipers HAVE to camp as thats what they do. With one tactic there is always a counter tactic to it. Lost Odyssey (RPG) and Halo Wars (RTS) are on the way if you want to jump ship to other genres.

I think that shooters will always sell and I am a fan. This is as long as it adds to the genre. Let me explain :

When I first played wolfenstein way back in 1992 I did not care about 3d graphics, surround sound , great A.I , physics etc. because I did not know about it. Then came Duke Nukem 3d with it's characters and stages and quake with 3d and things changed.

There have to be a improvement and not just from a graphical perspective. I thing that genre's will be mixed more in the future like r.pg first person mixed with world war etc.

And another thing if you don't like it don't buy it and when games don't sell less will be made.

There are a number of cool "shooters" in development in 2008/2009 or even 2010 though.

Several Rpgs that have recieved high reviews. A couple of Strategy games. And Armored Core. I bit of strategy mixed in with some mech building with run and gun gameplay.

I had the PC version when that came out quite some time ago, its a pretty decent game actually. Not spectacular but a decent game none the less, and makes good use of the HL2 source engine.

I am just tired of being really good at shooters. I mean i was great at gears and halo 3 and now cod4. I guess i am just a good shooter but shooting gets boring.
