Size of Edit Box?

I like how you can quickly edit posts and all, but the edit box is pretty small.
Confession: I'm an edit-whore. I reread every post after I've made it, go back, and repost it as many as 3 times on a regular basis. I'm making a second draft on this post right now, in fact. Bottom line is, I use the edit box a lot.

Problem is, it's hard to space what you're writing so that it's easy on the eyes because the edit box is only 2/3rds(ish) of the actual post width.
Would it be possible to make the edit box a little wider to match with the width of an actual post?

I'm trying really hard to decide if this is nitpicking and I decided that it isn't.
Even though it sounds like it is, this is something that I run into on a regular basis.
I'm tired of making an edit and then having to go back and reformat that post all over again just because after I saved I noticed that every other sentence had the first word on the line above (a place where even I, as the person who wrote it, has difficulty reading it).

I don't really have much trouble with the edit box. But sometimes, indeed, I find it would be good to have the width of it match-up to the original post.

I hate the Edit box, I can't see anything I always hit more options to get to the giant bigger better one.

I can pass this onto Steve but if it's a set thing within the software then it's unlikely he can alter it. But I can always ask
