This looks like GTA China.

People say that about every open world game that involves shooting and driving...

The fact the location and style is different, you play a cop, lose points for killing innocents and its more centered around hand to hand combat rather than shooting, martial arts, slow mo shooting scenes more similar to Max Payne and Stranglehold and environmental grapple moves make it more like Stranglehold/Shenmue/Yakuza/True Crime (which it originally was) than anything to do with GTA.

I'm sorry to discard everything you say. I know it's not GTA and people say that because GTA helped shape that kind of action-sandbox genre. I'm not saying that it's gameplay will be the same as GTA and I don't really expect it to be a spiritual successor to GTA or anything of the likes.

The features you described are common action features that you can find in most games besides the ones you mentioned, my statement in my earlier post above was a sarcastic joke and not a serious statement.

No harm done, cant tell tone in text form and hard to tell. =]

Never bothered with True Crime before, I remember hearing bad things about it, but this.. Violence, Sex, Drugs, Explosions, Asians, Kung-Fu... I'm okay with this. Good reviews.

True Crime series was ok, some parts it did well and others fell a little flat and made overall package pretty average. At the time there were better games in the genre around so it didnt make as big of an impact as it could have. It evolved into this after a troubled development cycle but it seems like it knows what it wants to be now and has taken the good things from True Crime and many other open world games and combined them all. Also I love the look of the combat, takes me back to Shenmue days with a sort of Batman Arkham Asylum/City style chain moves system.

Have a read through some of the ones in the list above, ive read about 70% of them and im quite impressed. Id have this already if I wasnt watching my money at the moment, just finishing up some other games and I will get it.

I gave in and bought it, got it on loyalty so I only paid three pound for it the rest of the forty pound came off my gamestation card. xD

Its really good, its kept the essence of True Crime while making it more fluent and adding more to the gameplay in general, I struggle in fights sometimes but thats it.

Im waiting a couple of weeks to use a voucher or sell some other games after ive finished them. Glad you are enjoying the game though.
