So... When is it Necroing?

IMesh

99% Toxin Free!
Sorry if this is the wrong section, was deciding between this and the Heroes Guild section.
Anyway, I've had this issue for a while, and it would be great to understand once and for all.

When exactly is necroing:
-On a thread made by someone else.
-On a thread made by you.
-On a thread that has had a very large post count.
-On a thread that is directly related to something you want to post.

Help on this would be great, as I'm constantly deleting what I've wrote before posting because I don't want to go against the generally defined boundary.

(If what I wrote above didn't make sense, I mean how long can you wait before you're no longer meant to post on the thread.)

Basically when you use dark powers to make threads from 2004 come back. Fools! They never found The Sandgoose or the Singing Sword.

Its not exactly a set in stone rule that we will strike down anyone who does it. We go on a thread by thread basis and if its your own thread and you are continuing to add to it for example a fan fiction there wouldnt really be a set date, as it would be updated when you had finished the next part. If a thread has been dead for say 6 months and someone replies with something that doesnt really warrant that thread being revived for example by saying 'Yeah I totally agree with everyone elses posts' then thats frowned upon. We merely ask members to use common sense when posting and if a thread warrants a revive then thats fair enough but if its revived for the sake of a post count or by a post that adds very little to the topic then thats a no no.
