I just ruined my first save by accidentally killing too many Hollow Men during the Tutorial which gave my weapons ugly bone parts.

"No problem.", I thought. "I'll just go kill some other enemies and it will change!".

No. No it won't. You're stuck with the bone parts.

Why?

The weapons are supposed to morph and shift back and forth depending on your actions! Just like your character's alignment...

Man, this blows. 5 hours down the drain and I have to start over. I am disappoint....

Really? I figured it just morphed when you opened up the chest for the next level of Melee, Combat, or Magic.

I do agree with you though, they hyped this up only to disappoint us big time.

Weapon Morphing was sad. And the hero weapons your almost forced to have one look. Since there are all those hollow men.

Well, yeah. Of course I got the bone part the moment I opened the chest. It is just so static and stupid. It should simply keep a track of which Morph is affecting your weapon the most (like having slain 1000 villagers vs. 10 hollow men) and chose the appropriate Morph. In the above example you would get the evil Morph, but when you later kill more Hollow Men than innocent Villagers, your weapon(s) will switch Morph to the Hallow Men bones.

Use alot of Magic,my friend. I am positive you will like the results.

That's all I use (except for when I needed to get the achievements for melee/ranged) and the results are still pretty bad. I enjoy the gauntlets much more though.

I think at the very least they could have made it so you could choose between morphs. Sort of like customizing your weapon with different skins.

If you start over, yes. But for now...Try it out....
