SO......

I dont understand, How can there be a second game? The decisions made in the first game should directly carry over to the second based of the sister decision and the other major choices. I understand, Its impossible but theoretically its the only possible way. I love fable anyway and cant wait to play, but, it kinda defeats its basis doesnt it?

Re: SO......

Well it doesn't have to carry over directly. Have you ever played any two Elder Scrolls games? Same universe, completely different plot

Re: SO......

Ya, it`s not like the games are focused on one particular hero. Albion is the center and all of the heroes - their history, destiny etcs - play a big role.

Re: SO......

every era has it's struggles, just because you f****d up a really bad guy in the first game doesnt mean more bad people won't turn up after 500 years.

Re: SO......

lol!!!
yeah no mater how epic it may be... it's just a game.

But seriously a game I couldnt live without

Re: SO......

The hero is not my point. Its the world of Albion Im addressing. If you chose your sisters death and the mask then Albion should have fallen to the hero, making it a crime wasteland. And if you spared your sister and threw the mask and sword then all is right. I know that there has to be a second game, I loved fable 1 and I cant wit to play 2 but IM just saying, since lionhead is being all serious with pub games and choices in REAL life lately, I thought this might be something to consider.

Re: SO......

i dont think that fable 2 is nessisarily a continuation of the first story. it is however set in the same world and people who played the first will recognise some stuff, but new people will not be lost. thats what PM said. so ya like i said its not a continuation of the same story, but rather another story in the same land.

Re: SO......

And... it's a game
seriously stop thinking about this stuff, and accept the faqt that it's the strongest candidate for GOTY... should be MORE than enough reason for you to let that go

Re: SO......

If at the end of the first game one of the focus sites imploded into a black hole taking all of Albion with it then I could see your point but otherwise I'm missing it.

Why wouldn't the land of Albion continue to exist and why wouldn't there be other stories to tell about its people, especially its heroes?

Re: SO......

Ye I agree, Albion didn't blow up, or got struck by a meteor, and the Hero were gonna get defeated by age eventually, so other stories a bound to be told.
Which reminds me, any1 know when the 3rd chapter of Tales of Albion is gonna be around?

Re: SO......

Not really.....Sister either way leaves Albion Dead or alive. We don't know what happens to the hero after. Maybe he dies Suddenly maybe he doesn't.

It will be released shortly before Fable II

Re: SO......

True, very good points. I remember PM saying something about new players keeping up. And yeah, albion didnt blow up. I also thought about the hero dying of age thing. But it doesnt have its effects linearly. Something should have happened directly indirectly small or large, based off the decision. But then again its 500 years in the future which leaves plenty of time for changes to occur.

Re: SO......

I figured it would be easy enough to fill in the blanks regarding a topic like this. Firstly, 500 years is an extremely long time. Any detrimental effects your hero may have caused in the first game have had plenty of time to right themselves. Many things can happen in the span of 500 years.
Also, in the first Fable our hero had to grow and become powerful to overthrow an evil menace, who is to say that if you chose the evil route in the first Fable that some orphan didn't vow to grow into a hero and dethrone you?
There are limitless possibilities, use your imagination.

Re: SO......

i dont know if this was posted but in the tales of albion

it says that the heroes got hated and stuff but also maybe if you read something else it says that like jack of blades can like travel to another universe or like another plane of existense so maybe when you did go completely evil you just went into the other plane of existence and if your good you just lived your life then died and maybe at the end of this game you can kill your old hero ;)

Re: SO......

Wow thats a very good point. Ive actually thought of this choice Idea.

My thoughts exactly. No use dwelling on the issue- it's not like they can cover all the bases for whatever you did in the first game. After all, I think that's the major reasoning behind the 500 year jump- it's a fresh start, and things are basically reset to a clear canvas for you to go ahead and alter at your disposal.
