Some big change . . .

If there was anything in Fable: TLC you could drastically change, what would it be? Personally, I would change the arena and make it similar to the style of that in Oblivion. Of course, better arena enemies would be nice too . . .

I would change the fact the way morality was scaled... it was ridiculous...
the idea that an evil person killing bandits in self defense is being good makes no sense...
the idea that someone can become good just by pigging out on tofu essentially made all your choices meaningless since if you massacred a family of four, you could just change what you ate for dinner to be a good person again...
and regardless of which "path" you chose, you ended up at the same destination... there was only one path in the game... despite the implied connotations of choosing your own path, there were no branching storylines and your actions and choices had no real impact on the world around you... whether you were good or evil, at the end of the game you were still in the same Albion, completely unchanged for all your supposedly being the greatest hero of the land...
I would have liked to actually have different paths to choose from and have moral actions have moral weight... not dinners and forced situations...

... that's kind of rude... especially since I just used the search function and can't find a thread on this exact topic... so making a new thread is what they were supposed to do...
and it's not a random idea... it's a valid point for discussion, critiquing the original game... if you do not approve of the subject matter you are not required to read it...

And that is bad... why? Creativity is the huzzah, and I for one has to say that alot of the ideas in these "random idea" -threads would be a good thing to have in Fable/Fable II.

whether there are or are not "random idea" threads on the site or not, that has nothing to do with this thread, as this is not a "random" idea... could you at least try to stay on topic?

I would also change the fact that I have to marry someone in order to sleep with them (unless they're a hooker)... that's just ridiculous in any universe :lol:

Well... I would say that I wish TLC had been all that had been released, but that's kind of pointless, if not plain obnoxious.

I agree on the morality thing-- I have also always hated the killing-bad-people-makes-you-good thing was rather obnoxious, as was the food thing... maybe it could have given you good points if you killed them when they were attacking traders or something, but not when they just attacked you. Killing in self defense is far from evil... but it's not exactly good, either. Same with killing to defend others, but there at least you're not being selfish... (I have no idea what I'm saying. I should have just left it at "I agree with you.)

I also wish they could have given you a way to collect money from rent without running randomly around to everything you owned. I mean, how can the billionaire landlord not hire someone to collect rent for him? Assuming that killing the rent collector when he steals from you is not evil, of course.

(Edit Note: Dammit, Tsuyu beat me to the "Not that that's a bad thing" comment. I am so sad.)

I would change the amount of times you can eneter the areana, I mean, wow, one areana event per game, that is kinda... boring. After you beat the game in TLC completely there should be a areana you can enter and compete, O and the people in the areana are actually alive.

Um... I have a question. Could we get the admins to put up a big banner at the top of all the pages saying

"YES. WE ALL WISH THEY WOULD ALLOW YOU TO RETURN TO THE ARENA. SINCE WE ALL KNOW AND AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT REPEAT IT"

Yes, that was obnoxious. Yes, I am very sorry. Yes, it is true.

And another thing I wish-- I wish they had done something with some of the more useless areas. Like the Picnic Area-- great area, now can we please use it for something other than fighting the wasp queen and learning that Jack did something people thought was good? Same thing with Bowerstone Quay-- yes, the Fist Fighters needed somewhere to Fist Fight, and the Witch needed somewhere for her cauldron to simmer, and yes Beardy Baldy needed somewhere to trickfoolish young heroes... but... you know what, it seems, even to me like I'm whining. Some of that right there is invalid... Though it's true about the Picnic Area, entirely so.

well... perhaps if you are aware that what you are about to do is obnoxious, you should in future simply not do it... that was rather rude...

I really would have liked to have aged differently... seeing as how nobody else aged in the game I didn't really see the point of it... perhaps it was meant to add realism as you lived out your life in Albion, but when you end up older than your own mother, the magic is somehow lost...

...i dont like the aging system either....but....instead of slowing the aging.....why not at least make ppl age w/ you....w/ experience comes age.....or vise versa.....

I'd like them to put a banner that says:

Look here if you want to play the arena again... :ninja:

Oh, and it is possible to slow the aging, look here.
