Sonic Generations: Chemical Plant Zone & City Escape

German site Gameswelt has demoed the two stages that are Chemical Planet Zone (Sonic 2) and City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2) from the upcoming 20th anniversary release with Sonic Generations. In this demo, they show off the gameplay of the classic side-scrolling chubby Sonic and the modern 3D-style Sonic... though unfortunately it appears the player has a case of ADD.​

Having played the limited-time only demo on XBL myself, I can safely say that SEGA has finally nailed the classic 2D-Sonic gameplay while giving it a much beautiful facelift.​

Incidentally, the 3-D effect on this game's demo had me literally about to suckerpunch my tv in the face. Then I realized I was supposed to cross my eyes to get it to work.
