Sony behind new Xbox 360 Website?
If you want a really good laugh at a sad attempt to put down the Xbox 360 check out this site.
Here's an article from Xbox360Wire about the site.
The part that gets me is the review of Lair 10/10 vs the review of BioShock 5/10 (Wait until it comes out for the PS3 is the recommendation :lol When the rest of the industry has it clearly the opposite .

Here's an article from Xbox360Wire about the site.
The part that gets me is the review of Lair 10/10 vs the review of BioShock 5/10 (Wait until it comes out for the PS3 is the recommendation :lol When the rest of the industry has it clearly the opposite .
Lets look at some of the evidence
As I said above, it was referrals which actually made me notice this site in the first place. The article we posted was discussing the possibility of Dead Rising 2 showing up at TGS this year, and the rumours that it may not be a 360 exclusive title this time round. Before we move on, it’s important to read the original article to understand the context it was written in. In short, it was speculation and nothing more - hell, I even made a joke about Lost Planet showing up on the PS3 next.
Read it? …lets move on then
The website I’m talking about here is ‘Sony Defense Force‘. The article which was sending visitors to us (we were cited as a source) was titled “Capcom Jumps Ship - Xbox 360 Loses More Exclusives”. The first line of said article left me dumbfounded… “Capcom will unveil both Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 for PS3 at the Tokyo Game Show 2007..”
My joke about Lost Planet appearing on PS3 seems to have mysteriously turned into fact, and not just that - they appeared to confirm Lost Planet 2. SDF also claimed that Capcom were going to up the frame rate to 60fps and upgrade the resolutions to 1080p.
Although we were cited as a source, the story they posted bore absolutely no resemblance to what we posted in the first place. What started as a rumour about Dead Rising 2 had magically turned into a headline grabbing article about Capcom moving it’s main 360 IP’s to PS3.
I decided to dig a little more….
Once on SDF, I thought I’d have a look at some of the other articles they had posted. I really wanted to have a look at some of their sources so see if other stories has been rewritten in a pro-Sony method, and to what extent the spin went to.
What struck me was the distinct lack of any Sony related new articles - strange for a Sony based website you would think. It was only then that I noticed that most of their articles had ‘Xbox 360′ in their headings - in a bad way of course.
Here are some fine examples
Only because it wasn’t announced for PS3 I’d wager.
Actually, they aren’t (Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata, Katamari)
5/10 for Bioshock? I wonder which version they reviewed…
360 ‘officially’ dead in the US? That’s the 360’s strongest market..
So, 5 for Bioshock and 10 for Lair…then compared to Mario 64?
I think those are enough examples to get the point across. If you are looking for a laugh and perhaps a way to waste 10 minutes of your lunch break, I really suggest you have a look at the site and see how many mistakes you can spot.
Is it really Sony again?
For their sakes, I really hope not. Once I’d read their take on the Dead Rising 2 post I just had to register to leave a comment (look for ‘Bleem’ in the comments section) which was a pain in the ***. You see, in order to post a comment you need to register with the site so you can log in. When you register, you are taken to a rather amateurish Word Press backend to complete the process. The fact that this part of the site is so badly done is probably the only thing which makes me think ‘Sony can’t be that daft surely?’.

- 1) Ninja Gaiden 2 announced : Met will collective yawns from gamers
Only because it wasn’t announced for PS3 I’d wager.
- 2) Xbox 360 looses more exclusives - Namco 3 coming to PS3
Actually, they aren’t (Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata, Katamari)
- 3) Bioshock Reviewed - 5/10
5/10 for Bioshock? I wonder which version they reviewed…
- 4) $399 PS3 coming this Xmas - Xbox 360 official dead and buried in America
360 ‘officially’ dead in the US? That’s the 360’s strongest market..
- 5) Sony Defense Force ‘Lair’ Review - 10/10
So, 5 for Bioshock and 10 for Lair…then compared to Mario 64?
