Sony's Jack Tretton confirmed on stage that the PS4 will have no DRM and no used game restrictions. Which means you can freely play your single-player games offline and you can sell, trade and lend your games.

They even put out a fun little instructional video.

The PS4 will retail on launch at £349/$399.

Pretty nifty looking piece of tech its pretty pricey but at least cheaper than X1, I may wait a few months before getting it though see if it drops in price.

It's a little pricey but I'm glad they learned their lesson after the PS3. Retailing it at $600 on release nearly ruined them because people just couldn't afford it and there wasn't anything to really justify it. There seems to be a certain kind of arrogance that comes with a company's third console. The Sega Saturn, the PS3 and now the Xbox One. Sega Jaguar was a failure for Sega with a horrible controller, but they learned their lesson with the Saturn but unfortunately charged it at $600. Then Sony released the PS1 at a fraction of the price and Sega was severely damaged by it. The PS3 was too expensive but Sony recovered. The Xbox One is nothing but failure compared to the PS4, and I really can't see MS recovering from this. The PS4 is smaller, and most likely lighter. Cheaper, no DRM and no used games restrictions. I could go on.
