Yeah, alpha would be your best bet. All you would need to do is open a texture in paint, and turn it bright pink, or whatever your alpha color is.

eew, that is NOT how to make alpha, and don't use paint
you need something like paint.net, gimp, or photoshop, and erase it to alpha
alpha is basically a seperate channel. There's a red channel, a green channel, a blue channel, and sometimes an alpha channel
neat change though, the flame does look pretty cool

I might have been thinking of a different game, but I remember making something pink for fable... It was probably just the editing software I was using... I said paint because everyone has that...

alpha is transparency
often times alpha is represented by that magenta/pink color, so that is the source of your confusion
