Soultrap, souls gem and enchanted stuff!

Ok, so I've gotten quite far into Oblivion, and I like it. However, I have one problem; Enchanted weapons. I always run out of charges for them, and since I am a dumb warrior sorta guy, I'll have no chance in Oblivion to be able to cast Soultrap and recharging them with some magic dude in the Mages Guild is bloody expensive.

Soo... just how important is it to have a magical weapon really? Could you manage without one? Or, use one until the charges are gone, then just use it as a normal weapon, hoping to find a filled soul gem as loot.:ninja:

Now, I'm not what you might call "good" at Oblivion -- I suck pretty badly in fact -- but as lovely and sparkly as those enchanted weapons are, I really don't care if they run out of charge (I do like the Umbra - that is an uber sexy weapon with a nice special). The only weapon I recharge nowadays is my telekinesis staff simply because without any charge it's pretty useless to me.

Long story short: no, I don't feel that they are very important.

you could try to find a weapon enchanted with a soul trap, or make one... I have a sexy axe that works quite nicely even without a charge, but when it is charged I just use it to fill up all my magic weapons again, and by the time all of them are empty again, I've found a soul gem somewhere and off it goes again...

I tried that, even had an axe with Soultrap. But then it felt like all I was doing was running around looking for things to recharge my weapons instead of enyoying the game.

 well don't do it that way
you can do pretty well without an enchanted weapon most of the time, but they can be helpful when you come up against something tough...
so just use a weapon like that as though it were a regular weapon, but if you come up against something a bit tougher, you can then bust out your newly charged staff or whatnot to dispatch the enemy...
most enchanted weapons you find lying around, after a short while, you'll find a new one on some enemy, one that's better than the one before since they're power is based on level... I think... so you can always just constantly rotate them...

The main enchanted weapons i use are the Umbra sword and also my daedric weapon but cant remember its name, its always good to have a stash of soul gems handy to recharge them.

I guess you could do that. But the problem is that when you are deep inside a cave or dungeon, your 50 charges run out pretty fast, and travelling back just to recharge is ..annoying.
