Spartacus Season 2..

Spartacus: Blood and Sand (My favorite show) is getting a new actor for the lead role: Spartacus. Andy Whitfield was a damn good Spartacus, but he had to drop out because he has cancer. Poor guy =/.

Anyways now they have a new actor in his place Liam McIntyre.. Its just so lame how the show continues without Andy Whitfield.

Im just glad the show is continuing, Andy was brilliant in the role and he brought something to the role that cant be replaced. However lots of people didnt like the idea of a prequel without him and said it wouldnt be very good but its brilliant and in a way better written & darker than Blood & Sand in parts. They also said that Dustin Clare's character Gannicus was to much of a 'pretty boy' for a role as a Champion but in just 2 episodes hes become one of my favourite characters and i think hes fantastic in the role. Id rather Andy was replaced and have the show continue and go on to be a big success than be another show that shows promise but then is either cancelled or delayed for so long people forget about it and then viewing figures are so low when it returns it gets dropped. Would be such a shame and id rather see a show he helped set in motion to greatness achieve it so everyone gets the credit they deserve for the great writing and acting.

I agree with you on Gods of the Arena, Gannicus also being one my favorite characters. Although replacing Andy Whitfield is like a slap in face to me. Idk.

It was either that or the show you love being cancelled and forgotten. Personally im happy its continuing as ive seen many good shows ruined over the years after a promising season or 2 then being cancelled for whatever reason. I want this show to continue for some time yet as its fantastic and Andy gave the blessing for the new actor to take over and wants the show to continue so in his honour i wish Liam the best of luck.
