Spell Gauntlets?

What did people think of having spell gauntlets?

Personally - it I thought there were a few problems...

1) Previous heros didn't need gauntlets - which raises the question, is this hero actually a hero of will and skill and strength or just skill and strength but has will because of gauntlets (like the big merc blokes who have fire gauntlets).

2) There was nothing to say why the hero uses gauntlets this time, as far as I can remember! Why change such an integeral part of combat? Surely they could have come up with something better than gauntlets?

I like to think of it as needing to have your will activated before you can use spells, probably by something in the guild. In fable it would have been activated during guild training, in fable 2 it was activated when you reached the guild hall and in fable 3 we never went there so it couldn't be activated

In the Order of the Balverine book, it mentioned that the gauntlet was a means of channelling the power that's already there, but stored deep down, because the Hero in Fable 3 had no prior training I guess he/she needed a helping hand at first to get their hero blood flowing. The gauntlets were also needed for spell weaving which no Hero did before so you can look at it that way too.

Well in the castle when you get to the four statues, it is explained that there are three objects that when combined, will give the person who posses them ultimate power - if I remember correctly. All I know is that there were three objects mentioned and that one of them is the gauntlet.
Perhaps this will be part of the storyline for Fable IV.
