Star Wars The Best of PC

Only discovered the existence of this the other day (and currently bidding on it on Ebay) but just wondered if anyone else here had seen it before? Its an awesome package with 5 excellent games and came out in November 2006 but it was a limited edition compilation that was only available for a short time. Id been meaning to play KoTOR for years after being heavily recommended it some time ago. Id played KoTOR II and really liked it (though it was an unfinished game unfortunately) but not the first so searched around for ages and then found this package. Id also heard good things about Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Republic Commando.

The compilation includes the following games:

* Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (2002)
* Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)
* Star Wars: Battlefront (2004)
* Star Wars: Republic Commando (2005)
* Star Wars: Empire at War (2006)
* Star Wars: Galaxies (14 day free trial)​

i saw it before. back when my Jedi Outcast disc broke i had to buy another, but gamestop was only carrying those.

that's a really solid package. i've played all of them except empire at war and galaxies, but if that package isn't running for much (considering all of those games are old news in the gaming world) i say buy it. if you haven't played even just 2 of those i'd say go for it.

and for the record - Jedi Outcast was considered the best star wars game of all time (above KoToR and II) before Force Unleashed came out. they haven't attempted to do another top 10 list since so it's hard to say.

I got it for £6 which i think is a decent price for all of them. Wanted to play Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Knight II and Republic Commando for some time so id be happy with just them as ive played Battlefront before and dont have any interest in Galaxies. Never played Empire at War but the reviews are decent.

Never played that either but heard good things and i saw a friend play it some time ago.

It's been out awhile, though I have no mouse for my laptop, so I've been a dbno pc gamer for months.

The only real pc game I can play is spore, and sims 3, but sims bores me.

IT certainly is a great pack, I wants ^_^

I had no interest in gaming on my laptop until i got a new mouse and ran some old games on it. I wont purchase any newer games for it but i dont mind using it for retro games.

A Best Of bundle with no "Jedi Academy" included? :'(

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast was reviewed and received as the better game (the prequel) so included instead from what i can see. Though both received high praise and awards.

Exactly my thoughts. If I were deciding which games to put in this pack, I'd choose JK2, JA, Republic Commando, Battlefront 2, and the first Knights of the Old Republic (I've never been a huge KOTOR fan, but people like it). Of course if it had been made much later, I'd put in The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition. The original wasn't released on PC, but the sith edition was.
