Star Wars: The Old Republic - Bioware's biggest ever game

Wish this was KoTOR III and not a PC exclusive MMO.

Bioware has revealed that much-anticipated MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is its biggest ever game - and contains more content than all of its previous Triple-A titles put together.

Speaking to the all-new edition of PC Gamer in the magazine's April 'MMO issue', creative director James Ohlen said:

"It's the biggest game I've ever worked on. I'm surprised at the enormity of it every other week. We're creating more content than Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age and Knights Of The Old Republic put together, and throw in Baldur's Gate, too."

LucasArts has previously confirmed that the Star Wars: The Old Republic release date will arrive in spring 2011.

You can read the full six-page feature on Star Wars: The Old Republic in the latest issue of PC Gamer, which reached subscribers today. It'll be in the shops by the end of the week.

Do you have to pay for it?

If so, you can count me out.

Why can't MMO's be like Guild Wars :(

Ive often thought the same as it was quite well received, had some good reviews, was fun and a stable MMO. To this day remains the only MMO ive played or will play as long as there are extra monthly fees involved. I will never purchase a pay to play MMO and that remains the same, no matter how good people say the game is. However it seems only the pay to play ones are still being played years down the line as their server, hosting and updating costs are covered by the monthly fees. Whereas the free MMO's often lack content over a time and the community dwindles unfortunately.

I don't know if I'm ready to love again. Star Trek Online broke my heart...

Sounds interesting i might check it out, though swg was extremely laggy for me so this one may just be the same.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Bioware's biggest ever game

I'm relatively certain that this game has required monthly payments and the same kind of combat as the Kotor series. The trailer makes it out to be awesome, but these two things completely drive me away from it.
