13:30 into the video is when Fable 2 begins.

They said that the best testers at Lionhead are beating the story 12 - 15 hrs. That's with just the story. Since we have Co op, Buying buildings, OPEN WORLD, exploration, jobs, training that mut of urs , wedding/kids, side quests, heaps and heaps of customisation and replayibility. I don't think Fable 2 length is going to be a big issue anymore. :lol:

Also - 8 barrel shotgun!!!

I figure for me the game will be 18-24+ hours. Its just like Elder Scrolls of Oblivion IV, You can beat the story in like 5-10 hours, but the actual game and all the side stuff you can do...well theres like 100 hours but STILL you get the picture.

Yeah know, I'm thinking this game could last up to 60, or more hours. I'm very happy about that. It's really going to be an excellent game.

I understand cause he actually listens and cares, what the gamers, want to play. He goes online sometimes, by different names. Read it in an interview.

12 hours of gameplay in a normal game is weak however this isnt a normal game..

i miss the good ol' days of really putting in 70+ hours into a good RPG to feel like you obliterated it. (Final Fantasy VII anyone?)
I appreciate the longer game span, as I like to take time to explore the Fable world and do my own thing. I'm lovin' it!

For those who favor tl;dr...

Replay Value > Required Gameplay Time

For everyone else...

12 hours is plenty of required gameplay considering how much Replay Value the game is going to have. I hated how short the first one was, but the cool thing was that I could go back and do it all over again a vast number of different ways. Challenges, Time Trials, Maxing out a character, etc. That's why Fable is such a good game. With a 70+ hour game, once you beat it, what do you usually do? Not touch it again...You finally beat it and you never want to touch it again or maybe pick it up again in a few months. Fable makes you crave more, but there's a bunch of stuff you can do after you've beaten it that keeps you playing.

I think 12-15 hours is a really healthy amount of playtime for a game. I'm happy with that. I'll be taking as much time as I can whilst playing Fable 2 and trying to squeeze that extra time out of it by completing every sidequest possible and locating as many legendary weapons and items as I can.

And I can't wait to play through the co-op mode. I can't imagine getting bored of Fable 2 for a long, long while. =]

Peter Molyneux had said in several interviews that to buy everything in Albion and become Emperor would take 1,000 hours.
