Story and Observation

Hey guys, wanted to share this:

I recently started a new game on Fable II, and decided to be good this time. I married only one woman, had only marital sex, killed no innocents, only did good quests, etc.

My wife still left me.

I think it's glitching, though, because I did the Rent Exploit (where you change the date and collect the rent then change it back) two or three times.

We had 4 children, two boys and two girls, but when I signed back in, we only had 1 boy and no girls.

After a few failed attempts to prevent her from divorcing me, my wife was killed by a Hobbe, and I moved on.

What I was wondering is (though I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this), if your wife dies, but Lucien doesn't kill her, why doesn't she return to life if you choose the 'Family' option at the end of the game? She died after I returned from The Spire, and if you choose 'Sacrifice', everyone who died during the building of The Spire returns to life. So why should my only wife not return to life if I choose the 'Family' option?

Just an observation.

That'll happen. Even if you're 100% good and pure, it's still hard to keep a marriage going.

Now that sounds like a glitch.

I never thought about that before, but that does make some sense. It's probably because if you had a wife earlier on in the game and she died, you'd forget about her after a while, and it'd be weird having her back all those years later. Plus, what if you had a wife in one house, killed her, had a second wife in that same house, and then killed her too? If they both got resurrected, how would they both live there?

Uh, guys? Im pretty sure that Sacrifice only revives people who dies working on the spire not during it.

If not, Barnum would still be alive :'(

I think this seems to be the only logical answer. Does it make it any diffrent? No. But it is the answer I believe now that I have tried the same functions and circumstances as you Warpedhero. Good question though

We're talking about the love option, not the sacrifice option.

Re: Story and Observation

Because the love option is only suppose to apply to the wife(s) Lucien killed. Thats just the way it was meant to be. If your wife died by some other means you probably wouldve gotten over it by the time of the choice quest.
